Playtech Finalizes its Purchase of Aristocrat Lottery Business, Will Expand and Diversify Retail and VLT Market Share in Key Jurisdictions
Playtech and Aristocrat were able to come to an agreement with the sale of Aristocrat’s Lottery business. The two powerhouse companies within the gaming industry finalized the deal of the purchasing agreement of Aristocrat Lotteries VLT.
Playtech, the industry’s top leading gaming provider confirmed the $13.2 million purchase. The agreement rose to the surface last month when the two companies were discussing the potential buy letting industry opportunists know the deal would be complete by the end of September.
Aristocrat Lotteries is a Stockholm based business that supplies its product to operators in Italy, and server based gaming for Norwegian Lottery VLT. The sale of the VLT business will give Aristocrat more focusing strengths on its recently acquired Video Gaming Technologies.
Chief executive for Aristocrat Jamie Odell made a valuable statement in regards to the sale and upcoming projects for its company saying:
“The sale of the lotteries business will allow management to focus on these growth areas to deliver optimal returns on the group’s design and development spend. In particular, we will continue to leverage our premium game content across priority, high value segments and markets, including North American gaming operations, digital and core outright sale markets.”

The transmission of the business diversifies the company as one of the leading suppliers of VLT systems in Europe and Latin America, and further extends its reach to key jurisdictions and empowers its market share tremendously.
